Every transformation begins in stillness.
"Before a butterfly learns to fly, it first learns to surrender.
For a while, the world sees only silence. No movement. No colour. No sign of what is quietly taking shape within.
Yet beneath that stillness, everything is changing.
This inverted butterfly is not falling. It is suspended between what was and what will become—a fragile reminder that the most profound transformations happen long before they become visible.
The textured layers echo the unseen work of becoming. The soft blues speak of hope. The warm earth tones remind us that every new beginning is rooted in what came before.

Materials
Acrylic paint, sand, clay, glass fragments, natural fibres and texture paste.
Technique
Hand-built textures are gradually enveloped in up to ten delicate layers of acrylic paint, creating depth, movement and an ever-changing play of light.
